About me and what I do

I am a freelance web developer specialising in accessible rich web applications written in a java framework environment.

I’ve worked in IT for over 20 years, and for over 10 years I have been helping organisations ranging from small startups to large international corporates with their online presence and applications.

I love to write clean semantic standards based markup and css. I use css pre-processors such as Sass; and javascript frameworks such as angularjs, requirejs and jQuery.
My java development environment consists of core java, Spring MVC and webflow, Apache Tiles, jsp/jstl, and Thymeleaf. I hold SCJP and Spring Certified Web Application Developer qualifications.
My testing tools of choice include junit, mockito and selenium.

I have a passion for creating rich accessible applications and sites using clean semantic markup, ensuring maximum audience reach and device compatibility. I create sites and applications that work for everybody everywhere – from text browsers, to older browsers, to assistive technologies such as screen readers, right through to the latest css3 and html5 compatible browsers and modern mobile devices.

I’d love to hear about your next exciting project and to see where I can help with that. Please use my Contact form to get in touch.
